FlexSA in Edinburgh

Flexible Space Association members gathered in Edinburgh yesterday for a Roundtable Meeting, and a tour of a brand new flexible workspace in the city.

The meeting took place at newly opened Cubo on the city’s famous Princes Street.  It offers fantastic views across to Princes Street Gardens, and not surprisingly the offices with this view are being quickly snapped up!

We heard from FlexSA Service Provider Member Tony Freeth of Tony Freeth Informational about current challenges and opportunities with technology for flexible workspaces.  Topics then discussed included local market conditions, the types of businesses taking up space in flexible workspace, and interestingly the growth in popularity of coworking space during the Edinburgh Festival.

FlexSA’s Executive Director Jane Sartin managed to fit in visits to two other member locations in the city.  Nexus Business Space provided a meeting room to host a webinar from in the morning, and she made a trip on the tram for the short journey to Clockwise in Leith.  Both are located in traditional buildings full of character, offering a contrast with the modern design of Cubo.
