Huckletree Oxford Circus Wins Workspace Design Award
Amidst tough competition, it was Huckletree who picked up the Flexible Space Association’s Workspace Design Award, for their new Oxford Circus location.
Huckletree Oxford Circus opened in March 2023, with a focus on providing central London workspace for Web3 and Artificial Intelligence businesses across 22,000 sq.ft of space.
The brief was for a design which was bold and playful, and supportive of collaboration, productivity, creativity and focus.
The colour palette was chosen to inspire creativity, and the workspace to offer a range of areas of different working styles and needs. There are ergonomic workstations, private studios and focus booths, alongside a range of communal spaces for teams, including breakout areas and meeting rooms. Wellbeing is seen as a high priority for Huckletree workspaces.
There was also a desire to create workspace that supported the building of a community. Generous communal, breakout and event spaces were an important element of the brief.
Sustainability was a watchword throughout, through materials, carbon emissions and the choice of suppliers.
Innovative features included a rainbow archway, infinity mirror and NFT Digital Art Gallery.
The judging panel took all these features into their consideration of the entrantse, and noted that what had been created by Huckletree stood out as something different within the flexible workspace sector.
