Flexible Workspace Recycle Week Initiatives

The Flexible Space Association’s Code of Conduct requires Members to strive to operate in an environmentally friendly manner, so this week we have loved seeing our members share their initiatives as part of Recycle Week.

If you’re looking for ways to reduce the environmental impact of your business, BE Offices have shared information on how they go above and beyond to lead the way with their green schemes, and even have their own in-house project team, ‘The Green Group’.

BE’s recycling initiatives include:

• The introduction of the bin-less office concept in 2015, which encouraged clients and staff to use recycling points in offices instead of bins under desks. It is estimated that this resulted in an 86% reduction in waste.
• The installation of PPE recycling facilities at all centres.
• For every kilo of food waste they recycle their waste disposal company donates 25p to Fareshare, which in turn pays for one meal for a vulnerable person.
• Reclaim IT recycle points encourage clients to recycle old ink and toner cartridges and mobile phones. BE have committed to donating 100% of the value raised to their two chosen charities, Dogs Trust and Rays of Sunshine.
