FlexSA Board Elections Open

With elections in the UK and abroad dominating the news, the Flexible Space Association is jumping on the bandwagon!

Nominations have opened today for election to our Board.  There are two positions open, and in order that the Board remains representative of our membership, this year one place is open to people working for Workspace Operator Members running 1 to 5 locations, and the other to those running 6 to 24 locations.  Everyone working for a FlexSA Workspace Operator Member is eligible to stand.

There are currently two serving Board members working for member companies with 25 or more locations.  In total, there are nine Board members, and the terms of Freya Cross and Jeff Morton are coming to an end this year.

The FlexSA Board oversees the direction of the Association, monitors its finances and takes decisions on matters of significance.  Board members are Directors of the Association, and serve for a 4-year term.

Service Provider Members’ Representative

The election process for a representative of our Service Provider Members has also commenced today.  This is a 2-year appointment, and whilst not a Director, the representative is invited to attend all Board meetings and take part in the discussions.

It is expected that the representative will regularly consult with other Service Provider Members, and be a conduit for their views, ideas and concerns to the Board.

This position is open to all Service Provider Members except our broker members, who are represented separately.

Timetable

The timetable for the elections is:

Friday 19 July: Deadline for nominations to be received.

If there are sufficient candidates for an election:

w/c 22 July: Online ballot papers issued to each member company, with details of candidates

5pm, Friday 30 August: Deadline for votes to be cast

Every FlexSA member company has one vote, which is usually held by the Association’s most senior contact.

If you’d like an application form, or any futher information, please contact FlexSA’s Executive Director Jane Sartin.
