Happy International Coworking Day

Whilst every day is ‘Coworking Day’ for the Flexible Space Association as we constantly extol the benefits of shared workspaces, today is special in being International Coworking Day, and many more people are coming together to recognise and celebrate coworking spaces around the world.

There are coworking spaces in every town and city across the UK.  These range from a small number of desks alongside other businesses, such as coffee shops, to large dedicated coworking spaces alone or as part of larger flexible workspace buildings.

Coworking spaces have been around for a while, but have risen to prominence post-pandemic as they become a key part of the hybrid working toolbox.  For many people, coworking space is their space for focused work for all or some of the week, often alongside a corporate office further from home.

Community often plays a key part for coworking spaces.  They offer a great way to build connections that can lead to new business opportunities, as well as ensuring lone workers aren’t left feeling isolated.
