Looking Back at the FlexSA Conference
It’s just over a week since the Flexible Space Association Conference and Exhibition, and we’ve had some great feedback from attendees. It was good to have brought the flexible workspace industry back together again for the first time since 2019.
The programme covered a diverse range of subjects, with the linked thread that they were all relevant to everyone in the flexible workspace industry. There were also lots of opportunities to network, and meet exhibitors from businesses supplying goods and services to the sector.
We heard from the UK CEO of our largest member company, IWG. Richard Morris began by paying tribute to everyone who had worked for flexible workspace companies throughout the pandemic, keeping services going for those needing to use workspace.
The conference included a number of breakout sessions, including ‘Meet the Brokers’. Paul Fitzsimmons of BizHub hosted a session for workspace operators to quiz brokers about how to most effectively work with them.
We were pleased to welcome the Minister for Small Business, Consumers and Labour Markets, Paul Scully MP, to address the Conference. First he listened to presentations from three of our member companies on how what they do supports the growth of small businesses.
Alexandra Brunner, COO of rapidly growing Clockwise, spoke with the experience of her previous roles in the hotel industry about what flexible workspace operators can learn from this sector.
There were many more speakers and panellists who took part in the day, all of them making a great contribution to ensuring attendees left with information and ideas to take back to their own businesses.
Keep an eye on our events page for details of our next events, including the date of the next Annual Conference and Exhibition.
